Texas Oil Barons 1

On Sunday last the Montgomery College Saw Dogs traveled to Leauge City to take on the Texas Oil Barons. The Dogs struck first, tallying two aces in the top of the first hand. The lads from League City answered with a tally of their own in bottom of the first. The ballists in blue rang the tally bell two more times in their half of the second. From the second hand on both nines tended their gardens well and muffs were few and far between. In the end, the Saw Dogs capped the Oil Barons 5-1. The game was played as part of the Derricks and Diamond Charitable Softball Tournament--an event that raised over $200,000.00 for the Texas Children's Hospital.
